Flex Banner, commonly known as light box cloth, is a kind of inkjet material produced with PVC as raw material through a certain production process, and is mainly used for outdoor advertising inkjet printing.
Inkjet cloth is divided into outer light cloth, inner light cloth, knife scraping cloth, and outer light sandwich cloth
Knife scraping

The knife-scraping light box cloth process is to combine liquid PVC slurry with a number of anti-squeegee uniform glues on the front and back of the base cloth, and then use a drying process to make it completely integrated into a whole, and then cool and shape. It is characterized by strong anti-permeability, tensile strength and anti-peeling ability. Because the knife scraping method is a whole, the peeling phenomenon can be eliminated, and the strength of the joint can be greater than the product itself through welding. At present, the light box fabric width of this technology can reach 5 meters. Due to the complex production process, the scraping materials generally require post-processing, and the (surface treatment) production equipment is relatively expensive, and there are only a few domestic companies that can produce them. In the Chinese market, such products are mainly exported and the price is relatively high. The square grams range from 400 g/m2 to 2000 g/m2. The most representative ones are Zhejiang Jiufang Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. (JIUFANG) made in China, Hanwha (UNIFLEX) made in Korea and SIOEN made in Belgium.
Legal
Laminating method Flex Banner is to form the upper and lower layers of PVC film, which is heated and laminated with the light guide fiber web in the middle under the pressure of the heat roller, and then cooled to form. The biggest feature of this process is its excellent ink-jet ink absorption and strong color expression. Therefore, with the rise of the large-scale printing industry, this type of printing cloth has also brought unlimited vitality. At present, this kind of Flex Banner is basically produced by domestic manufacturers, and its market share in China has exceeded 70%. Because of the mature domestic production technology, high quality and low price, the products are exported to many foreign countries.
550 inkjet cloth
The base fabric is 500X500D, 9X9, and the weight is generally heavier, ranging from 320 g/m2 to 440 g/m2. The thickness ranges from 30-40 silk. Main performance: smooth surface, bright ink color, thick, strong tensile strength.
520 inkjet cloth
The base fabric is 200X500D, 18X12, with medium weight, ranging from 250 g/m2 to 300 g/m2. The thickness ranges from 28-31 silk. Main performance: smooth surface, bright ink color, thick, general tensile strength.
Calendering
The calendering method is to fully stir PVC powder and liquid plasticizers and other raw materials, and then bond with the base fabric into a whole under the pressure of a high-temperature hot roller. Its characteristic is that the surface is flat, and the light transmission is even, and it has advantages on the inner lighting lamp cloth. However, due to the limitation of equipment, the width is generally not more than 3 meters. Both the 645 and 945 light box fabrics developed by 3M in the United States are produced by this process; the Lexi Flex Banner developed by LG in South Korea is also a representative of this process.
